Lake Grove, New York, March 4, 2024– Hiring and training is now underway for Wegmans new Lake Grove location. The 95,000 square-foot store is part of the DSW plaza at the corner of Middle County Road and Moriches Road in Lake Grove and will be the first Wegmans on Long Island. Set to open in early 2025, the store will employ more than 500 people. Most employees will be new to the company and hired locally.
The Lake Grove team is currently accepting online applications for a variety of entry level management and full-time openings across every department, including culinary positions, as well as roles in perishable departments (seafood, produce, meat, and bakery). The store will also host an in-person hiring event for all full-time positions on Thursday, March 21, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The hiring event will be held at the Lake Grove Hiring Office, located at 2780 Middle Country Road, Suite 140, Lake Grove, NY 11755. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit an online application in advance of the event through this link. A member of the Wegmans hiring team will contact applicants to schedule a time for an interview. Interviews will also be provided for walk-in applicants on the day of the event.
