Lake Grove, New York – Wegmans is now hiring part-time positions for ages 18+ including cashier, cart-to-curb shoppers, and helping hands. To help fill the open positions, the Lake Grove leadership team is hosting a hiring event on Saturday, September 14, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the hiring office, located at 2780 Middle Country Road, Suite 140, Lake Grove, NY 11755.
The Lake Grove team is also looking to fill full- and part-time positions across the store – including front end, bakery, deli, cheese, produce, meat, seafood, and restaurant foods – at the hiring event. Candidates are encouraged to apply online at jobs.wegmans.com prior to attending the event.
“We are so excited to be opening the first Wegmans location on Long Island and becoming part of this amazing community,” said store manager Dawn Cooper. “We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are passionate about food, people, and serving our community.”

While planning a move from Rochester to Long Island, Tyler Rajotte applied to work at Lake Grove. He has extensive experience working in retail and is now a team leader in the frozen foods department.
“I appreciate the warm, welcoming environment at Wegmans,” he said. “It is a completely different retail experience, and I value the work-life balance that working at Wegmans provides. The leadership team is already helping me learn and grow within Wegmans and I am excited about the opportunities available here.”
Wegmans Food Markets’ new 100,000 square-foot Lake Grove store is at 3270 Middle Country Road, Lake Grove, NY 11755 and is expected to open in early 2025.
