Wegmans Partners with Local Law Enforcement Agencies for Prescription Medication Drop-off Events

WHAT: Wegmans Food Markets is partnering with local law enforcement agencies across seven states to host community prescription medication drop-off events at 52 stores on Saturday, April 30. The event gives community members the opportunity to remove potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs from their homes. The service is free and anonymous. Only pills and patches will be accepted – no liquids, needles, or sharps.

WHEN: Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE: The parking lot of these participating Wegmans stores:

  • New York:
    • Rochester – Brockport, Calkins Road, Chili-Paul, Eastway, Irondequoit, Lyell Ave, Penfield, Mt Read, Latta, Holt Road
    • Syracuse – Auburn, Fairmount, Great Northern, John Glenn, Taft Road
    • Buffalo – Dick Road, McKinley
  • Maryland: Bel Air
  • Massachusetts: All stores
  • New Jersey: Cherry Hill, Mt. Laurel, Woodbridge, Manalapan, Montvale, Hanover
  • North Carolina: All stores
  • Pennsylvania: All stores except Malvern, Scranton, and Wilkes-Barre
  • Virginia: Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Midlothian, Short Pump, Virginia Beach
