Dawn Cooper

Store Manager

Dawn Cooper began her career as a bakery department manager in 2004 at the Princeton, New Jersey location. She then served as merchandising manager at the Bridgewater, New Jersey store beginning in 2016 followed by perishable area manager at Cherry Hill in 2020. She relocated to Lake Grove in early 2023 to become store manager for the first Wegmans on Long Island in Lake Grove, New York.

Zachary Sofia

Merchandising Area Manager

Zachary Sofia began his career with Wegmans in 2015 at the Manalapan store in New Jersey as a part-time grocery employee. He joined the Wegmans Store Operations Internship Program when he began college at The College of New Jersey. After graduation Zack became a Management Trainee which led him to become a Deli manager and most recently a Bakery manager at Manalapan. As a Merchandising Area Manager at Lake Grove, Zack will oversee merchandising, sales, and employee development for the grocery, dairy, frozen foods, natural wellness, home and entertaining, pricing, and receiving departments. He will work collaboratively across the store to ensure that the thousands of products Wegmans offers are well displayed and well stocked.

Iliana Tunison

Service Area Manager

Iliana Tunison joined Wegmans in 2016 as a cashier for the Woodbridge, New Jersey store. After six months Iliana became a front-end coordinator and developed a passion for the front end. She then started the Store Operations Internship program as she continued her college education. In 2019, she became a service team leader and helped the Woodbridge store roll out the Meals 2GO and Cart-to-Curb programs. She then transitioned to the Manalapan, New Jersey store as a Café Management Trainee in 2021. She was most recently the front-end manager at the Manalapan store before relocating to Long Island to open the Lake Grove store as a service manager. At Lake Grove she will support the front-end manager and leaders efficiently run the front end, service desk, accounting office, maintenance team, helping hands (cart attendants), eCommerce team for Cart-to-Curb/Meals 2GO and will also supervise local community giving.

Nick Lizo

Executive Chef

Nick Lizo began his career at Wegmans in Ocean, New Jersey in 2015 as a culinary management trainee. He was promoted to sous chef in 2017 and opened the Montvale store. He then went on to open the Brooklyn store where he has been a sous chef for the past four years. He has served as sous chef for multiple grand openings across the company. Now as an executive chef, Nick will lead a team of over 100 culinary employees in Restaurant Foods who will prepare daily a full line of sandwiches, salads, soups, pizza, sushi, and a variety of packaged meal options.

Melissa Vetrecin

Perishable Area Manager

Melissa Vetrecin began working at Wegmans 13 years ago at the Woodbridge, New Jersey store in produce and floral. She then went on to work in seafood, bakery, front end, cheese, and the wine shop in various customer service and entry-level management positions. Melissa then transferred to the Princeton, New Jersey store as wine department manager before moving on to her next role in Human Resources as an employee advocate. After five years as an employee advocate, Melissa went on to train as service and merchandising manager and supported the Manalapan, Woodbridge and Astor Place stores. As the perishable manager at Lake Grove, Melissa will oversee leaders in the produce, floral, bakery, seafood, meat, cheese, and deli departments with a focus on learning and development, product integrity, financials and food safety/sustainability. Together, the perishable team will ensure Wegmans’ high standards for the freshest ingredients are met and employees are prepared to share in-depth food knowledge with customers.

Tyler Wilcox

Hospitality Manager

Tyler Wilcox started his Wegmans career in 2017 opening the Montvale, New Jersey store as a service team leader on the front end. After a few months, Tyler transitioned into the role of pizza team leader where he had the opportunity to further his culinary knowledge in the Market Café. During his time in the Market Café, Tyler spearheaded and rolled out two new pizza programs for his division. In 2018, Tyler received the opportunity to become a cheese shop manager where he dedicated himself to becoming an expert on cheese and cheese pairings. After serving as the Market Café Restaurant manager in the Harrison, New York location, he relocated to Long Island as a service area manager at Lake Grove where he will help support all areas throughout the store, while building new relationships within the community.
