Reston,Va., January 31, 2023 – Store Manager Katie Sullivan and her team of 425 employees are putting the final touches on Wegmans’ new Reston location. The 85,000 sq. ft. store, located at 11950 Hopper St. in Halley Rise, makes its debut at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1.
The Reston location offers an abundant selection, with thousands of options throughout the store including approximately 1,200 wines, and nearly 500 varieties of domestic, craft, and imported beers and ciders. Restaurant foods prepared by Executive Chef Vinny Tacci and his culinary staff of 95 include everything from fresh sushi, pizza, and wings, to hot soup, made-to-order salads, and subs. Customers can enjoy Asian-inspired cuisine, a self-serve coffee station featuring Wegmans’ signature coffee, hot cocoa, and espresso drinks, and delicious burgers, sandwiches, and fries through the Meals 2GO app for in-store pickup or delivery.
The seafood department features fish delivered daily from ports on the east coast, across the country, and around the world. The store also features a produce section with hundreds of different fruits and vegetables, including many organic choices, and a cheese shop that has specialty and artisan cheeses produced domestically or imported from around the world.
Customers can visit https://www.wegmans.com/reston to sign up for Wegmans Shoppers Club and download the Wegmans app, which offers recipes, digital coupons, and the ability to create shopping lists sorted by aisle. Wegmans website and app also allow customers to complete all their grocery shopping online for curbside pickup or delivery to their door in as little as one hour.
Reston is Wegmans’ 110th store overall and the 15th location in Virginia. In addition to the Reston store, Wegmans is now hiring and training for hundreds of positions throughout their stores, warehouses, and distribution centers.
