Washington, D.C., May 23, 2022 – Following a successful opening at their Carlyle, Virginia location, Wegmans Food Markets announced today the opening date for their first location in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, July 13 at 9 a.m. Wegmans Wisconsin Ave. is located in Northwest Washington, D.C. at City Ridge. Reston Hiring
As recruitment is wrapping up for Wisconsin Ave., Wegmans is now seeking 150 full-time employees to staff their new 85,000 sq. ft. store in Reston. Located at the intersection of Reston Parkway and Sunrise Valley Drive, the store is scheduled to open in early 2023. Available full-time positions include everything from entry-level management to customer service, overnight grocery, and culinary roles such as chefs, prep cooks, and dishwashers. The Reston store will employ more than 400 people, the majority of whom will be hired locally. Applications are not accepted at the store construction site, nor will interviews be conducted there. Hiring for part-time positions will begin at a later date.

Wegmans Reston will be part of the Halley Rise development, which includes commercial, residential, and retail facilities. The new store will include a Market Café, coffee shop, and The Burger Bar. The site will have parking below, residential units above, and is accessible by the Reston Town Center Metro station.
